Talking Through Tragedy: How to Support Our Kids, Our Neighbors, and Ourselves after a Traumatic Event A community conversation about witnessing events at Poulsbo’s Waterfront Park on July 3 Tuesday, July 16, 6:30 to 7:30pm Gateway Church, Fellowship Hall 18901 8th Avenue NE, Poulsbo Please join us for a community conversation about experiencing the tragic, and, for many, traumatic events of July 3. Gateway Church will provide a safe and supportive place for attendees to talk about what they saw and heard, and facilitators will be on hand to provide tools for dealing with and talking about traumatic experiences. This is a non-religious, non-denominational event and everyone is welcome. The conversation is intended for adults, and childcare for elementary-aged children will be provided. This event will be focused on recovery, not politics or policy. Facilitators will be Chaplain Bill Martin (retired Chaplain, Bremerton Fire), Renee Balodis-Cox, MA, MS, LMHC (counselor with trauma specialization) and Melanie DenBoer, MA, LMFT (counselor with child mental health specialization).

Spudapalooza is this Sunday, July 7th! Get a spud after church to help raise money for camp. All the proceeds go to the kids who will be serving you on Sunday, so they can go to camp this year.
